They were a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I, who incorporated them into her crowns and even had an entire ring made from one. They were also a big part of Audrey Hepburn’s iconic 1950’s look. Of course, the subject is pearls!

These stunning and beautiful natural stones have long been associated with beauty and wealth, making them ideal to wear on the red carpet. If you are a huge fan of pearls, however, you may want to know of a simple way to incorporate them into your wedding day without overdoing it!

You’re in luck as here, you will be walked through how to do just that. So, read in and enjoy!

    Pearl Pendants

Many women will opt for the simple string of pearls on their wedding day. It’s timeless, elegant and stunning.

If you want to showcase some perfect pearls around your neck on your big day, you can also opt for a pearl pendant, which could have a gold or silver chain with a single pearl at the end of it. Or, why not go for a marcasite pearl pendant? The mixture of gothic jewelry style and the simple elegance of the pearls can make for a very visually appealing neckpiece as you walk down the aisle!

    Pearl Drop Earrings

If you choose a pearl/marcasite pendant for your big day, you will want to avoid pearl drop earrings, as they may make your wedding day outfit look cluttered and busy.

However, if you are opting for a strapless or heart neck bridal gown, then pearl drop earrings can really help to bring a look of elegance to your big day. The best part is that pearl drop earrings can be composed of tear shaped pearls, or even baroque pearls. Classy and simple without going overboard!

    Pearl Tiaras

Some women may want to choose a pearl tiara for their big day, but beware. If you use a tiara that has too many pearls, it can make the headpiece look trashy, even if it costs a fortune!

It can be worth taking a note from the British Royal Family here, as the late Queen Elizabeth II, the late Princess Diana, and the Duchess of Cambridge have all managed to wear pearl tiaras without the headpieces looking awful. The key is balance; make sure your tiara also has diamonds (or cubic zirconia!) to help space the pearls out and create an eye-catching piece.

    Pearl Belts

When you have a fitted wedding dress that is not too heavy on the fabric on embellishments, you may want to look into a belt. This will draw attention to the mid-section and help pull your waist in.

You can easily incorporate pearls into a bridal belt but, much like the tiara, you will likely want to ensure that the pearls are spaced out, and mixed with some other stones and glittery bits!

    Pearl Fascinator

You don’t have to wear a tiara on your wedding day, and many women prefer to wear fascinators or other hair accessories. Pearls and bridal wear are both white or cream, so you have that going for you from the get go! Just make sure that any fascinators match the feel of your wedding day, rather than being a colour match. You can get some more modern pearl-based fascinators that have white feathers attached to them or, if you prefer, you can opt for a softer looking fascinator that has a lace component that covers the face. Saves money on a veil!
